Honey Pot Battery Candle Wall Sconce

These cute little wall sconces were super easy to put together! They even have realistic looking honey dripping from the homey dipper into the honey pot! They are battery operated taper candles wrapped in jute and can be screwed on the wall in a home or camper. You could also add a stand on the back to set them on a shelf or counter.

You will need:

Wood flat plaque (Dollar Tree)

Jute twine (WalMart)

fabric or scrap book paper for background ( Michael’s)

1 wood honey pot (Amazon)

1 wood party favor 3” honey dipper (Amazon)

3 jewel bees ( Amazon)

Glue sticks and glue gun

Car repair glue sticks in honey yellow(Amazon)

fake greenery of your choice

Taper plastic candle – timer or no timer (Amazon)

2 AA batteries for the candle

1 inch wide by 1/4 inch thick wood circle slice

A pencil

Scissors

Tacky glue

Directions:

1. Trace wood plaque outline onto back of scrapbook paper you chose with pencil.

2. Cut out paper

3. Glue paper onto plaque using Tacky Glue.

4. Glue jute twine around sides of plaque using regular glue stick

5. Paint honey pot and dipper with metallic espresso paint and let dry.

6. Using a separate glue gun, use car repair yellow glue stick to “drip” glue down sides of honey pot and on the dipper. NOTE:These glue sticks do have a mild fume so use in a ventilated area away from kids or pets.Let glue dry well.

7. Set honey pot and candle on plaque to see where to glue.

8. Glue tiny wood slice onto plaque where candle will go

9. Glue jute around plastic taper candle using regular glue stick,wrapping tightly as you go. Add 2 AA batteries.

10. Glue jute wrapped candle onto wood circle slice using regular glue stick.

11. Glue honey pot on plaque using regular glue stick.

12. Glue honey dipper at an angle above honey pot, using regular glue stick

13. Glue jeweled bees as photo shows on the plaque.

14. Add more of the automotive repair yellow glue stick glue from honey dipper to honey pot to look like honey is connected.
