As I get ready to make Fairy Forest on my property, I realized I need some houses for these fairies to live in! Today I put together this simple Fairy House and I just love how it turned out!
You will need:
A pre-made birdhouse of your choice. Mine is a split wood look one.
Krylon spray paint in Laurel Green
Fairy Garden miniatures: Birdhouse on metal stick, Home Sweet Home sign – Hobby Lobby
Wood Craft twig pieces from Hobby Lobby
A wood log slice from Hobby Lobby
Twine for the fence-Dollar Tree
Fairy Garden front door-Dollar Tree
A plastic Fairy ladder from Hobby Lobby
Carrot Patch miniature-Dollar Tree
Boy sitting on log miniature-Dollar Tree
Sheet of craft moss from Dollar Tree
Miniature fairies or gnomes, 3 pack from Dollar Tree
Hot glue gun and glue sticks. I used high temperature on both
- Paint your bird house outdoors with the Krylon Laurel Green paint lightly so that some of the wood still shows through.Let dry thoroughly in well ventilated space.
- Glue your birdhouse to the wood log slice with hot glue.
- Glue the fairy front door over the birdhouse hole
- Glue the plastic ladder to the birdhouse so it goes up to the door.
- Add glue at the foot of the ladder on the wood log slice.
- Glue the carrot patch on the wood log slice behind the ladder.
- Glue a gnome at the top of the ladder near the front door.
- Glue another gnome at the base of the ladder on the first step.
- Glue the Home Sweet Home sign on the right side of the front door.
- Glue the birdhouse pole on the left side of the front door.
- Glue the boy on the log miniature behind there ladder on the wood log slice.
- Glue twig pieces around the wood log slice for the fence.
- Add twine at bottom, middle and top of each twig to create fence. Glue on.
- Add pieces of torn moss sheet to roof and glue on.
