I’ve had this wood cabinet/armoire for over 25 years. I remember the moment I saw it, and fell in love with it even though it was dingy and brown. It was so heavy that I had to call my dad to come with his truck and he wasn’t impressed with my $20 purchase! But I knew, in my heart, that it was a treasure. Over the years, I have used the armoire in my bedroom for clothes storage, in my old kitchen as an extra food pantry, and now in my craft room to hold all of my scrapbook paper, tabletop easels and various craft supplies. If you see enough of my posts and videos you will come to know that I love anything with birds on it and I also love painting birds on canvas and furniture. I chose to paint a different bird scene on each of the raised panels on this cabinet and it has stayed this way for the past 25 years that I have owned it. I have changed the base color of the cabinet and the trim color around each panel and plan to update those again leaving my beautiful hand-pained birds in place. I just can”t bear to paint over my original art from when I was younger!
