Americana paper flowers for your mantle or shelf! These are so easy to make!
You will need:
2 small tin buckets red, white and blue theme (Dollar Tree)
2 -12”. Wood dowels ( Dollar Tree has pack of 12 dowels)
styrofoam for inside buckets
1 pack of red, white and blue American flag pattern paper cupcake holders (Walmart-pack of 100)
blue, red, or clear fish tank beads to cover styrofoam, or mixed
red, white blue ribbon for bows on stems
Americana theme or plain red or blue pattern scrapbook paper for stems (one sheet)
Clear acrylic gems for center of flowers
3 inch styrofoam balls for center of flowers (Dollar Tree has pack of 3)
glue sticks and glue gun
Steps:
1. Fold cupcake holder in half to a taco shape. Fold in half again to a triangle shape. Fold in half one more time.
2. Take a pencil with point and poke holes all around the styrofoam ball in a circle about 1 /2 inch apart.
3.glue tip of folded cupcake holder into each hole.
4. Poke another row of holes around the ball in between each of the previous holes.
5. Repeat folding and glueing in the cupcake holders.
6. Wrap scrapbook paper around each dowels and glue down. You will need a 12” by 2 inch strip for each flower stem.
7. Poke dowel in bottom of styrofoam ball for stem. Glue in place.
8.Glue clear acrylic gems in center of flower petals on each side of the styrofoam balls.
9. Put styrofoam in bottom of each bucket.
10.poke hole in center of styrofoam for the stem and glue in place.
11. Cover styrofoam in bucket with glass fish tank beads.
12. Make a small bow tie style bow for each flower and glue at top of stem.
